Omega Honors America's Cup Victorious Team with New Chronograph
James Bond needs a reliable wrist instrument even when he finds himself relaxing on the beach. To please the prominent spy James Bong in "Casino Royale", Omega developed the Seamaster Planet Ocean Casino Royale watch based upon ever-successful combination of technical prowess and aesthetic elegance. The Planet Ocean features a distinctively designed bezel, inherited from the initial Seamaster 300-meter models. The matt black dial has been created to provide maximum legibility. It reveals applied luminous hour markers and Arabic numerals at 12, 6 and 9 o'clock. the date window is found at 3 o'clock. The watch is 60-meter water-resistant. In the heart of the Gourmet Chocolate there beats an automatic movement - FC-310 caliber. The mechanism has bridges decorated with Cotes de Geneve and circular graining. The facetted arrow-tipped hour and minute hands feature luminous SuperLuminova inserts. It goes on a satin or alligator leather strap with a buckle or a folding clasp. The second ladies timepiece, the Frederique Constant Lady Double Heart Beat Romantic Volute, reflects infinite femininity and delicacy. The mother-of-pearl dial of the watch reveals gentle marbled reflections. The center of the dial and bezel are set with 109 diamonds (53 diamonds in the center and 48 diamonds on the bezel), adding to the timepiece's contemporary and chic look. There are 8 diamond hour-markers. At 12 o'clock there is an opening onto the movement in the shape of two interlaced hearts.

TAG Heuer Monza sports watches are characterized by fine assemblage and craftsmanship. The Monza line comprises a wide range of models, including three-handed watches with date function as well as chronograph models. In the heart of the TAG Heuer Monza watches there beat self-winding Swiss movements appreciated for their reliability and immaculate performance. The uniquely designed cushion-shaped cases of Monza watches are crafted either in steel or 18K yellow gold. They feature a distinctive contrast between brushed and polished su***ces pleasant to look at and touch. This is why the watch was spotted on the wrist of the main charcters in "The Island"The Monza Calibre 36 watch is one of the most technically sophisticated pieces from the line. The push-piece reinforcements are reliably screwed into the case-band, or thick non-reflective sapphire crystal, recessed to keep it away from jarring. The case measuring 44 mm in diameter catches attention due to its plunging profile. It is executed in titanium. The metal is widely used in cutting-edge aviation due to such important characteristics as lightness, durability and non-corrosive properties. The timepiece boasts 300-meter water-resistance. The company's watchmakers have opted for oversized crown and non-slip push-pieces to make them easy to handle, even when wearing gloves. The perfect readability both at day or night is based on the contrast between the big hands and plain dial.
New Watch for Professional Explorers
The ladies of inspiration pushed the famous Swiss company to start its search for five truly extraordinary women whose look would symbolize three main features: personality, femininity and elegance. The beginning of September is the period when the company will select 5 finalists, who will later be invited to Paris. In the city of elegance and glamor selected inspirations will enjoy an unforgettable experience together with Baume & Mercier. All the finalists will spend 3 days in the capital of France.Recently Harry Winston opened its first boutique in Beijing, China. To celebrate this important event Harry Winston created a very beautiful and colorful addition to its famous collection Avenue. The Exotic Birds theme inspired the designers to this amazing mini-collection. The line is launched in limited edition series consisting of 5 sets (4 pieces in each). It will be possible to buy watches as a set or just one watch model. It took a rather long period of time and it was a very painstaking job to create the timepieces. The five symbols of personality, femininity and elegance will be styled, made-up and afterwards interviewed by a team of professionals. In Paris ladies will participate in a photo-shoot. It is worth mentioning that the photo-shoot will take place under the direction of Laurence LABORIE, who is one of the world's most famous top fashion photographers.
Baume & Mercier Looking for Personality, Femininity and Elegance
Harry Winston Avenue Exotic Birds mini-collection is of a great interest to potential customers, watch collectors and connoisseurs. Despite the fact the watch dials are not big, the company's specialists managed to create fascinating pictures of exotic birds as if coming from a fairy-tale. Bright colors strike the imagination and revive spirits. The image of the bird is formed due to its colorful plumage. For the first time they combined enamel with diamonds. The "King of Diamonds" Harry Winston just could not manage without sparkling and gorgeous stones. And it has turned out to be a great and successful combination. They chose white diamonds and sapphires, picking up very carefully only the best stones.A simplistic look is all that is need for this watch to look rich. The simplistic design of the case combines chic traditional leather along with daring stitching and the contemporary fine-brushed bracelet made of stainless steel.Bertolucci decided to continue its successful line, which the company presented in 2006 at the international exhibition Baselworld 2006. Last year it launched a feminine line and in 2007 it looks forward to strengthen its collection by adding this new Serena Garbo watch for men. The opening of the case runs wider so the watch would fit a man's wrist perfectly. Just like the women's line the Serena Garbo for men come whether with a leather bracelet or metal one.The silvered dial of the watch with no doubt has a masculine design.

Getting to know Bathys Watch Company
Or if you've got your iPod stashed in your backpack with just the headphone cable emerging, you can still drive the tunes. Another possibility is if you, like me, use your iPod while in your car, the Timex iControl gives you a cool remote control which you're not likely to misplace. An additional benefit is that leaving your iPod out of sight, especially when combined with a pair of generic non-white ear buds, reduces the changes of theft since nobody will even know you have an iPod.According to the Timex iControl home page, the iControl is compatible with both the 1st and 2nd generation iPod nano, and the 5th generation iPod video. For more details as to how it works, check out the manual (PDF). As you'd expect, the watch portion of the iControl remains at Timex's highly functional standard, with a readable face and a long list of features: time, alarms, countdown timer, Indiglo, interval timers, etc. Apple's line of solid-state iPods have long been popular for exercise and sports. The iPod shuffle and nano are shockproof and have a longer battery life than the higher capacity hard drive models, *** them a great choice for running, hiking, and general active use. The nano can even be used with the Nike iPod inte***ce which transmits data from your shoe to the iPod's display. Very cool!So if your shoe can talk to your iPod, why not your watch? Introducing the Timex iControl IRONMAN watch. As you can see from the picture, it looks just like a standard 50-lap IRONMAN, but adds a few more buttons.
Bell Ross: Watches for Professionals
An RGM watch can be had starting at about $1,750, although themajority of the collection ranges from $4,500 to $26,000. Major watchcomplications, like its Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar orTourbillon, are the crown jewels of the collection exceeding $80,000to over $100,000. Even still, RGM is considered a bargain. Thequality of the $1,700 RGM watch matches that of many other brands'watches costing many times as much. And further:RGM watches are crafted in extremely small series of 18k yellow orrose gold, platinum, and stainless steel. They feature hand-finishedcases and such elements as engine-turned (guilloché) dials and blued-steel hands. In every case, they are of the highest quality in theirprice range. Most components are Swiss made although some modelsfeature American and Swiss made components. Every limited-editionwatch is individually numbered and signed.Their low-priced watches use Swiss movements from ETA, Valjoux, and ASchild. I was particularly entranced by the GMT Alarm (pictured here).Even their basic watches use high-grade movements that are finelydecorated. As amazing as it might sound, America used to be the preeminentwatch maker in the world in the pre World War II timeframe. Brandslike Hamilton, Elgin, Gruen, Benrus, and Illinois led the way inautomated production and railroad-grade watches, producing high-quality timepieces at a broad range of prices. Their decline can mainly be attributed to the quartzrevolution of the 1960s.I'm explaining a bit of history to give you some idea of how unusualRGM is. Roland GMurphy, based in Lancaster PA, makes and sells high-end and custommechanical watches for prices that are a lot less than the Swissmarques.
RGM Watches: True American Timepieces
It is a *** and elegant way to strap such a huge watch to your wrist, and the deployment clasp is light and easy to use.PackagingThe packaging for the St. Moritz Aeromax is a *** black leather box with a cardboard outer box. I was expecting more given the price and the classy look of the watch. Were I to make one suggestion to St. I would be very interested to see the watch in a 42-43mm size, and possibly in a stainless-steel finish. If you like the look of this watch, and you're not afraid to wear them big, it is definitely worth the $300-$350 price point.By James StaceyUpdate from Christian (9/4/07): I got an email from Simon Pennell, CEO of St. Mortiz, with some interesting new information on the Aeromax:They are working on improving the longevity of the luminous material. They are already using very high quality material (Superluminova), but the dial maker is working on a way to apply a thicker layer without messing up the raised Arabic numbers. The packaging that James wasn't very fond of has already been discontinued and replaced with the much nicer brushed aluminum box you see on the right.Moritz, it would be to offer a nicer set of packages, and possibly a strap removal tool to help new buyers size and fit the rubber strap, which, incidentally, needs to be cut down to the diameter of your wrist.SummaryThis is a nice watch that St. Moritz believes will appeal to the traveler. It has everything that a good watch should have: it's legible, elegantly ***, and has interesting and functional complications. Note that it's a sizable watch, however, and not suitable for narrow wrists.
Review of the Multi
It's solid as a rock, styled to match the watch, nicely adjustable using micro-adjustments, very secure, and expandable if you're wearing a wetsuit. And if for some reason you don't like it, it's easy to swap out due to the drilled lugs.I don't know about you, but I really find having the day on the dial to be useful. Seiko added a couple of other nice touches by *** Saturday blue and Sunday red. Also, it has two languages on the dial, and you can use either. (The second language is usually Spanish, but its available with others). The build quality is impressive. The stainless steel is nicely machined with competently finished su***ces. Not a rough edges to be found. The style of the Orange Monster is uniquely Seiko, and can't be mistaken for anything else. These days, when so many other watches look like something else, (e.g. a zillion variations on the Rolex Submariner), it's refreshing to have something bold and unique. And last but certainly not least, the overall value. As one poster on Timezone put it, for less than the price of a battery change on a Breitling SuperColt, you get a true dive watch that you can enjoy worry-free.In the interests of balance, let me list off the negatives as well:Lack of handwind/hacking. (Hacking means that the second hand stops while you set the time so that you can set it more precisely.) Not a huge deal, but I find it annoying sometimes. Of course, the slightly more expensive 6R15 divers fix this, but at more cost and a different style.Accuracy. This particular one is pretty accurate, but expect that a 7S26-based watch might keep time within 20 seconds a day. Not great.
